The Community Foundation of West Texas is now accepting applications for its annual Mini-Grants for Teachers program, which provides small grants of up to $500 to teachers in Lubbock and the surrounding South Plains school districts, KCBD reports.
"These grants empower teachers to acquire innovative teaching materials that excite young minds," the foundation says in a press release.
Since its inception in 1998, the Mini-Grants for Teachers program has distributed more than $584,880 in grants, benefiting more than 552 teachers and impacting thousands of students.
